The Fraserburgh Beach Vision & Masterplan project has been recognised with the Excellence in Plan Making Practice Award at the recent RTPI Scotland Awards. The Award is fantastic recognition to the client, design team and most importantly the community and the time and commitment they have put in to help shape the ideas.
The Team
Rob formed part of a multi disciplinary design team, worked alongside Kevin Murray Associates ( Rim Chouaib, Emma Churchyard, Iain MacPherson, Kevin Murray and Gregor Henderson) and Ines Triebel from Willie Miller Urban Design,
Aberdeenshire Council were an amazing client, and particular thanks go to Paul Macari and Alastair Rhind for the commission and their support and assistance in guiding the development of the masterplan through its multiple stages.
The Place
A special thank you to the amazing community in Fraserburgh, who gave so much of their expertise and time again and again throughout the stages of the process in helping to develop and refine the ideas.
The plan was shaped in no small part by the commitment, energy and local knowledge that the community brought to each and every session.
Thank you to RTPI Scotland and their panel of judges for recognising the merits of the Fraserburgh Beach Vision & Masterplan. This Award validates the approach and recognises the hard work undertaken by the community, the client and design team in making it happen.
